Daily Retreat Guide

A retreat guide will be offered with the following key themes visited throughout WILD WONDER:

Make Space for Awe
Connect with nature and Self. Listen with all your senses. Make space for play, to be in Montana nature, tap into all of our senses and make space for reverence and awe.

Unfettered
Release judgment, expectations, perfectionism. Acknowledge permission to experiment, take risks, discover, play, and be. Not needing to get it right.

“Follow your footsteps as the path and let the art be the teacher”

Self Expression
Tap into contemplative practice, creative voice and embodied expression. Let the masterpiece of your heart be revealed.

Discuss self-expression and intuitive mark-making as a grounding daily practice to help regulate the nervous system, increase present-moment awareness, and create stability.

Fearlessness
Venture beyond the familiar, take up space, experiment, and follow inner knowing.

Contemplate fearlessness as willingness to trust an internal creative compass pointing toward your own truth and how a journal art practice can be a conduit

Emergence
Listen inwardly. Connect authentically. From wild places to inner spaces, discover what wants to emerge.

Consider how Journal Art can provide a place to explore identity, belonging, aging, relationships, transitions—who you have been, the stories you carry, and who you are becoming

Sunrise Reflections (w/Linda)

Wake up early to join us for Sunrise Reflections.

This contemplative sunrise session blends gentle guidance with time for your own quiet reflection. Each morning may offer a mantra, question, or theme to carry with you into the day—an invitation to pause, listen inward, and notice what is emerging through your attention. With the early morning rising sun, there is space for journaling, creative reflection, or simply sitting in stillness and taking it all in. Come as you are. Leave with a little more clarity, presence, and intention for the day ahead.

Wisdom Flow (w/Linda)

In this alignment-based vinyasa practice, we fine-tune our ability to listen, embody, and celebrate the Self. Breath and movement sync up in this themed, slow-flow style class. Each practice explores the interplay of stability, mobility, and embodiment—our ability to sense, inhabit, and respond to our bodies with greater awareness. Gradually building energy and intensity, this session culminates in a peak pose or series of poses, while inviting you to stay curious about what feels right for you.

You’ll leave feeling empowered, lighter, and centered—with a renewed sense of connection to the wisdom within.

Wisdom Flow is adaptable and inclusive. Options are offered throughout, making the practice more accessible for different injuries, limitations, and preferences.

Whole Body Therapeutics

Come with curiosity and discover what your body has to teach you.

In this exploratory practice, we’ll deepen our awareness through proprioception—our sense of where we are in space—and interoception—our ability to notice and respond to the body’s inner signals. We’ll weave yogic philosophy with functional movement and asana, along with slow, fluid practices inspired by Viniyoga and Feldenkrais, guided imagery, and reflection.

This is dedicated time to explore, embody and listen inward—and also to slow down, heal, and rest. You’ll leave feeling more relaxed, uplifted, and connected to yourself.

Bring your willingness for self-study. A journal is welcome.

Journal Art Sessions

During WILD WONDER, participants will be invited into a hands-on Journal Art practice led by artist Kate Kolbrener—a creative way to deepen and integrate the experiences of the retreat.

From wild places to inner spaces, the journal becomes a place to gather what is being noticed—in nature, the body, movement, contemplation, and within oneself—and give it form through color, marks, words, collage, and play.

Journal Art continues the retreat’s larger inquiry:
What happens when we quiet judgment?
What happens when we listen with all our senses?
What happens when we release the need to get it “right”
What happens when we become curious about what wants to emerge?

The emphasis is on the experience of creating rather than the final product.

Use all the tools we provide and feel free to bring your own.
