WILD WONDER Retreat Facilitators
Linda and Kate have been in friendship and practicing together for more than 25 years, beginning in Pittsburgh in the mid-1990s and continuing through retreats in Mexico, New Mexico, and elsewhere. They are inspired to continue learning from one another and to create spaces together where we can let go, learn to integrate the many aspects of SELF and access our voice and creativity in unexpected and expansive ways.
Linda Meacci (she/her), E-RYT 500, YACEP–
Love grounded in courage has been a guiding principle in my life. This core belief has shaped my path of seeking truth and authentic expression through nature, play, the performing arts, expressive movement, community, cultural immersion, solo travel, yoga, and ultimately my sadhanas (spiritual study) of Surat Shabda Yoga.
I began exploring theater, dance, and movement as a child and continued nurturing that creative fire during my early adult years in New York City. There, I discovered yoga—a practice that still inspires how I connect, create and live my life. I also began journaling in seventh grade, a practice that remains part of my daily contemplative life.
Yoga and movement are a foundation for me, both as a practitioner and teacher. My expertise lies in teaching through the lens of Eastern and Western principles and practices to illuminate and explore the innate connection between body, feeling, and inner life. My innovative teaching style weaves creative asana flow, therapeutic practices, expressive movement, reflection, universal principles, and guided imagery.
Bringing spontaneity, wonder and joy to what I share creates a warm, connected space where each of us can discover our “aha” moments, trust our insights and access our authentic nature.
I love collaborating across creative arts, bringing movement into conversation with other forms of self-expression. My intention is to offer meaningful ways for people to explore, imagine, and expand their sense of themselves and the realities we live in.
My work invites students to take their practice beyond the mat—to become more curious about the forces shaping their lives, open to new possibilities, and connect to the power, joy, and wisdom within.
Kate Kolbrener (she/her), BFA–
Kate is a mixed-media artist whose creative journey began with a love of making and led to a BFA in metalsmithing and graphic design from the University of Michigan and graduate studies in Interaction Design at Carnegie Mellon University. After a long career in design and marketing—and years spent raising a family and navigating a very full life—Kate returned to a regular art practice as a way of returning to herself.
Through Journal Art and her studio practice, Kate explores creativity as a pathway to presence, curiosity and self-trust. Making art helps her slow down, quiet the inner critic, become comfortable with uncertainty, and listen for what is calling beneath the noise.
Kate approaches facilitating much as she approaches life: with curiosity, openness, encouragement and a willingness to follow what feels true with gusto. Rather than teaching a “right” way to create, she creates permission to experiment, play, change direction and discover what emerges.
She believes creativity is available to everyone—and that when we become present enough to listen to ourselves, art can give form to things we may not yet have words for.
