Description of Practices

Our Daily Practices

Surrounded by the warmth and beauty of Mexico's Pacific Coast, each day offers space to move, reflect, laugh, rest, connect, and simply be.

Sunrise Reflections (w/ Linda)

These contemplative sunrise sessions blend gentle guidance with time for your own quiet reflection. Each morning may offer a mantra, question, or theme to carry with you into the day—an invitation to pause, listen inward, and notice what is asking for your attention.

With the rising sun as your backdrop, there is space for journaling, creative reflection, or simply sitting in stillness and taking it all in.

Come as you are. Leave with a little more clarity, presence, and intention for the day ahead.

Wisdom Flow (w/ Linda)

In this alignment-based vinyasa practice, we fine-tune our ability to listen, embody, and celebrate the Self. Breath and movement sync up in this themed, slow-flow style class. Each practice explores the interplay of stability, mobility, and embodiment—our ability to sense, inhabit, and respond to our bodies with greater awareness. Gradually building energy and intensity, this session culminates in a peak pose or series of poses, while inviting you to stay curious about what feels right for you.

Wisdom Flow is adaptable and inclusive. Options are offered throughout, making the practice more accessible for different injuries, limitations, and preferences.

You’ll leave feeling empowered, lighter, and centered—with a renewed sense of connection to the wisdom within.

Therapeutic Practices

Restorative Kaiut Yoga blended with Jin Shin Jyutsu (w/ Susan)

Join Susan for a regenerative practice blending Kaiut Yoga and Jin Shin Jyutsu, designed to support greater ease, mobility, and an intuitive sense of well-being. With the sound of the waves lapping—and perhaps even a surprise whale sighting—we’ll slow down, unwind, and reconnect with ourselves.

Kaiut Yoga is a gentle, therapeutic practice that works into the joints and connective tissue to release tension and restrictions, improve mobility and circulation, and calm the nervous system. It’s designed to counter the effects of modern-day living and help restore greater freedom of movement.

Woven throughout this practice, Jin Shin Jyutsu uses simple hand placements on key energy centers to calm, balance, and restore. Susan will introduce easy self-help techniques you can use during the retreat and take home with you for everyday care.

Together, these practices create an opportunity to slow down, listen inward, and reconnect with the body in a way that feels restorative, grounding, and deeply nourishing.

No experience necessary–just be open to explore these simple, life-enhancing practices.

Whole Body Therapeutics (w/ Linda)

Come with curiosity and discover what your body has to teach you.

In this exploratory practice, we’ll deepen our awareness through proprioception—our sense of where we are in space—and interoception—our ability to notice and respond to the body’s inner signals. We’ll weave yogic philosophy with functional movement and asana, along with slow, fluid practices inspired by Viniyoga and Feldenkrais, guided imagery, and reflection.

This is dedicated time to explore, embody and listen inward—and also to slow down, heal, and rest. You’ll leave feeling more relaxed, uplifted, and connected to yourself.

Bring your willingness for self-study. A journal is welcome.

Yin (w/ Karleen)

As the day softens into sunset, we’ll turn inward with a slow, nourishing yin practice woven together with poetry and practical wisdom connected to our daily themes.

Yin yoga invites us to linger. While there is some gentle movement, much of the practice unfolds in stillness, giving the deeper tissues of the body time to soften, release, and lengthen. Rather than striving, we’ll practice listening—meeting sensation with curiosity, allowing the body to open in its own time, and noticing what changes when we stop trying to make change happen.

There is a quiet wisdom in this kind of practice. Yin invites us to cultivate patience, tolerance, presence, and sensitivity to the subtle rhythms of our bodies and our lives. In the spaciousness of stillness, we may discover that there is less to do and more to notice.

This becomes an opportunity to pause, reflect, and receive—to let the day settle and make space for whatever comes next.
